Increasingly a transmitter is fitted in the head of a temperature sensor to convert the signal to a 4-20mA output. Transmitters constantly decrease in cost and offer advanced features such as sensor burnout signalling, sensor calibration offsets, on-the-run re-ranging, and signal multiplexing. Peak Sensors stocks and supplies a good range of standard transmitters which can be supplied either alone or as part of a temperature measuring system.
